Privacy Policy
1) Quick Summary
- No browsing surveillance: We do not collect, store, or transmit the contents of the pages you visit or the HTTP traffic you inspect/modify with Twist Browser.
- Local-first: Request/response inspection and modification occur locally on your device. By default, we have no access to your traffic.
- Optional diagnostics: You may choose to share crash reports or telemetry to help improve the App. These can be disabled in settings.
2) Scope
This Policy applies to the Twist Browser desktop application and our websites that link to it. If you use third-party services (e.g., a payment provider, cloud sync, or extensions), their privacy practices govern their handling of your data.
3) Data We Do Not Collect
- Page content and traffic data: We do not store or transmit the web pages you visit, the URLs requested, request/response headers or bodies, or any credentials contained therein.
- Keystrokes and credentials: We do not capture your keystrokes, login credentials, or authentication tokens.
- Unsolicited uploads: Twist Browser does not automatically upload your debugging data to Cintron servers.
4) Data We May Process
Depending on your choices and how you use the App, we may process the following:
- Account & licensing data: If you purchase a license or subscription, we receive order metadata from our payment partner (e.g., name, email, billing country, last 4 of card). Full payment details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Cintron.
- Crash reports & diagnostics (optional): If enabled, the App may send anonymized crash traces, error codes, and basic device/runtime info (OS version, app version). Where feasible, we scrub or avoid including URLs or payload data.
- Website analytics: Our marketing site may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate usage (page views, referrers). We do not build user browsing profiles.
5) How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve Twist Browser.
- Authenticate licenses and prevent fraud or abuse.
- Offer customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
6) Data Retention
We retain account and transaction records for as long as required by law and for legitimate business purposes. Optional diagnostics are retained only as long as necessary to troubleshoot issues and improve product quality. We do not retain your browsing traffic.
7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; risks remain inherent to all software.
8) Your Rights
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information. To exercise rights, contact us at legal@cintronsoftware.com. We will verify your request as required by law.
9) Children
Twist Browser is intended for professional and business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction).
10) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the new Policy and update the effective date above.
